Mar 10-17 FINNMARKSLOPET. Starting in Alta, Finnmarkslopet is the longest dog sled race in Europe. The Borealis Winter festival will be held from March 8-18. ALTA

  INGA LAMI Cross-country ski race for women only. The historic ski race covers 9 miles around Lillehammer.  More than 5,000 women of all ages participate every year. LILLEHAMMER
