Round trip Ålesund - Hellesylt - Geiranger - the Geirangerfjord - Ålesund
Visit one of the world's most beautiful fjords and enjoy the Sunnmøre Alps.
A comfortable coach trip from Ålesund through Sykkylven, famous for its production of furniture. From there across the mountain pass to the industrial town of Stranda. Then the trip continues to the tourist location of Hellesylt, where the fjord cruise, with a guide service in four languages, to Geiranger starts.
Onboard the ferry, you can enjoy a good lunch whilst taking in the marvellous scenery of the UNESCO protected Geirangerfjord. You will see some small farms high above the fjord and be told the story of how people lived there in bygone days. You will also see great waterfalls such as Friaren (the Suiter) and De syv søstrene (the Seven Sisters). In the busy tourist village of Geiranger, you will find an international atmosphere during the summer season.
From Geiranger, you go by bus up the winding road, Ørnevegen, to the ferry quay at Eidsdal. A short ferry to Linge before starting the last part of the tour - two hours by coach through beautiful fjord country back to Ålesund.

The Trollstigen Mountain Road
Experience one of Norway's most exciting tourist attractions, the Trollstigen Mountain Road, a fantastic road that winds its way up the mountain side through 11 hairpin bends. The road crosses the Stigfossen Waterfall on its way to its highest point, 852 metres above sea level.

Fjord Experience

The tour starts with the Hurtigruten ship from Ålesund to Geiranger. You have approximately four hours to explore beautiful Geiranger before the boat takes you down the Geirangerfjord (an UNESCO World Heritage Site) to Hellesylt where the a takes you through the wild and beautiful Nordangsdalen Valley to Øye.
From Øye, a comfortable sightseeing boat takes you on the dramatic Hjørundfjord back to Ålesund.

Hjørundfjord Cruise
The wild and majestic Hjørundfjord is just too beautiful to rush through. The sightseeing boat takes you along through the striking scenery that Kaiser Wilhelm valued so highly more than 100 years ago. Enjoy the stunning views of mountains and fjords at their most spectacular.
The tour starts in Ålesund and arrives at Øye, where Hotel Union Øye is situated. At the end of the 1800s Europe's aristocracy and upper classes were frequent guests at the hotel. In 1989 the hotel was completely restored to its original condition, and today presents all the splendour of its heyday. The tour on the Hjørundfjord can be taken as a one way trip or round trip.

A guided coastal cruise to the small island of Ona
The community of Ona developed where there was fish – out in the open ocean. The little island has just 40 permanent inhabitants today, but the quaint buildings are well looked after, and you can almost sense the hustle and bustle of years gone by. In addition to a visit to the famous lighthouse, you can buy locally produced ceramics. You should also taste the delicious fish soup at the restaurant "Havstuene".

Wildlife Sea Safari
This is a wildlife safari along the coastline outside Ålesund in a high-speed rigid inflatable boat (RIB). The route is weather dependent, but normally includes visiting a seal colony and Runde Island's famous bird colonies with its eagles and puffins. You also pass some of the small communities along the coastline. Remember to bring binoculars and camera.
