介绍

Sirdal mountain museum is located at Kvæven. There is a museum containing many artifacts from Sirdal, surrounding the museum is a collection of buildings, some dating back to 1770. One of the buildings which you will find is a old "hunting cabin". This belonged to the Norwegian Thorvald Meyer Heiberg, who bought large areas of land in southern Norway. He rented out the land to rich men mostly from abroad.

During the summer the museum offers guided tours followed by a documentary which provides a visual insight into Sirdal and its culture.

The museum also welcome groups for guided tours, it is however recommended to pre-book.
