Paleet is a high-end shopping centre with over 30 specialist and fashion shops, as well as a number of restaurants and cafés. The interior displays a vast array of art, including a painting of Karl Johans gate by world-renowned painter Edvard Munch.

The atmosphere in the gallery is characterized as calm, intimate and relaxing, nurtured by shop owners' faithful to their trade. Their hope is to convey a sense of what shopping anywhere in Oslo is about: a dedication to quality.

Situated on Oslo's main street, Karl Johans gate, Paleet stands in the distinguished company of the Parliament building on one side and the Royal Palace on the other. Other close neighbors are the prestigious Grand Hotel and Hotel Continental as well as the National Theatre.
