This is a footpath and bicycle path running alongside the road rv. 152 Ås and Drøbak. The route is interspersed with attractions of local historical interest dating from Viking times and up until the present day, and it is equipped with drinking fountains and benches. You can hire bicycles at "Retrofabrikken" at Ås station.
This trip comprises parts of the old defensive works at the inner reaches of the Oslofjord, and it commences at the Follo Museum near Seiersten Skanse. The Coastal Heritage Path then continues past Veisving Battery down to the beach zone at Husvik in the northern part of the charming little town of Drøbak.
Nordskogen at the Norwegian University Of Life Sciences in Ås is one of the oldest arboreta in the country. From Nordskogen there are paths leading to Syverud, another scenic attraction.
