Do you dream of white snow as far as the eye can see? Do you want to put on your skis and get out on the newly prepared ski tracks? Or perhaps rush down the ski slopes in the alpine facilities?
Perhaps you prefer a slow ride in a horse sledge, or even the speed and excitement of a snowmobile.
No matter what you like, there are plenty of opportunities if you choose to stay a few winter days in Gol and Golsfjellet.
Alpine challenges
If you wish to combine shopping with some time in the ski slopes, Gol Skisenter offers great experiences in the sunny side of the valley, close to the town centre.
Up on Golsfjellet Mountain, you will find Storefjell Ski- and Sledging Centre, and Golsfjellet Alpine Centre at Bualie.
The ski centres are also great starting points for cross-country skiing.
A total of 7 lifts with 15 slopes, terrain parks and ski play areas.
Cross-country skiing
Whether you just want a slow ski trip to enjoy the sun and snow, or prefer a good workout, Gol and Golsfjellet have ski tracks to suit you.
There are more than 250 kilometres of well-prepared ski tracks here in varied and family friendly terrain.
Since most of the tracks start in the mountains, you do not have to tire yourself out before the trip starts.
Dog sledging
Feel the snow spurt across your face while well-trained dogs pull you and your sledge over a snow-covered mountain plateau.
Dog sledging is a great way to experience the nature and is fun for both children and adults.
Horse drawn sledge rides
You can really enjoy life by going on horse drawn sledge rides; listening to the ringing bells, while sitting under a fur rug, through snow covered landscape.
