Farm hotels

Sygard Grytting, Per Gynt Gården and Vågå gardshotell are all easily accessible and offer food and accommodation. Here you will find farm history and traditions that have been upheld through generations.

Sygard Grytting and the Per Gynt Farm both have historical ties back to medieval times, and they all offer lodging, fine cuisine, and fascinating experiences on unique farms, where you can stay in preserved, historic buildings.

Mountain hotels and cabins

Large selections of mountain hotels are found throughout Gudbrandsdalen; in addition many hotels also offer cabins.

Peer Gynts Rike is located west of Gudbrandsdalen and hotels such as Wadahl, Gålå Høgfjellshotell, and Fefor Høifjellshotell are all recommended.

The Venabygd and Kvam Mountain areas are located on the eastern side of Gudbrandsdalen and here you can stay at Venabu Fjellhotell and Rondablikk Høyfjellshotell.

Youth hostels, guesthouses and camp sites

Sjoa Vandrehjem is Gudbrandsdalen's only member of Hostelling International. As a guest here you may experience many exciting activities, for example rafting, musk ox safaris, caving and glacier hiking.

Sikkilsdalsseter (mountain farm) lies on a beautiful mountain site at 1,016 metres above sea level, and serves as a perfect site to explore the moutains of Jotunheimen.

You will find camp sites both up in the smaller valleys and along the main highway E6 passing through Gudbrandsdalen. Bøygen Camping is one of them, located near Vinstra halfway up into Gudbrandsdalen.
