The short distances between ski areas enable a continuous network of trails between the destinations in Hallingdal. Altogether there are about 1,500 kilometeres of prepared trails. You can take a short, safe ski tour through wooded terrain, sheltered from wind and weather.

Ål – beautiful, wild and welcoming
At the foot of Reineskarvet (1,790 metres above sea level), with a view towards Hallingskarvet, lies the Bergsjø area. Here you can find mountain trails for easy family trips or something longer and more demanding. If the wind is howling, there are plenty of trails through the forest. Liatoppen and Votndalsåsen have ski tracks in November. There are mountain trails and a cross country and biathlon arena with floodlit trails for freestyle or classic style.

Golsfjellet – the family favourite …
At Golsfjellet and Søråsen you will find open mountain plateau with views of Jotunheimen, Hemsedalsfjellene, Hallingskarvet and Gaustatoppen. These family friendly surroundings have ski trails for almost everyone. From the top of Gol Ski Centre you will find the trails on Skaraåsen and connections to the network of trails to Torpo, Hemsedal and Ål. On winter evenings the floodlit trails at Solseter are the place to head for.

Nesbyen – a cross country eldorado
The variety of ski trails make the mountains of Nesbyen an eldorado for cross country skiers. From Nystølen in Trondrudmarka you can follow the trails on over Nes mountain. Here you can choose between easy round trips or set out on something tougher towards Åkrefjell and Hallingnatten. In the Myking area you will find ski trails in gently rolling forest and high mountain terrain. From the tops of Dyna and Såtenatten you can see Hallingskarvet and Jotunheimen.
