For a meal out, the Hamar Region can offer everything from unique and high-quality restaurants to urban cafés.

Fokhol is a biodynamic farm and here you can treat yourself to a meal based on products from the farm. At the farm shop you can buy ecological vegetables, potatoes, dairy and meat products.

Staur Farm in Stange is situated in some of the oldest and richest agricultural land in Norway. With Lake Mjøsa right on its doorstep and forests rich with game, their chefs create a rich and exciting menu.

Another farm filled with beauty, culture and meals based on local traditions is Hoel Farm. The buildings are used for celebrating anniversaries, weddings and as an inspiring meeting place. 

Enjoy traditional food prepared with a new twist combined with a good wine selection at the Guest Farm Bryhni Søndre.

The restaurant Christian Krogh is situated on the second floor of First Hotel Victoria in the centre of Hamar and has been selected the best restaurant in Hamar several times.

At Quality Hotel Astoria, you will find the restaurant Pepperkværna (which is popular among the locals). Part of its allure derives from the cosy wine house/tavern decor and part of it derives from savory preparations of local ingredients such as elk, beef, veal and venison.

The Sans Restaurant & Bar at the Scandic Hamar Hotel is a thriving spot in the evening, with dinner served daily until 10 pm and drinks until midnight in its trendy back-lit bar.

Rica Hotel Hamar tempts you with its inviting à la carte restaurant Årstidene. The hotel has a popular bar with live music.

Hamarstua Spiseri is located at Domkirkeodden at Hamar. On historic ground, with idyllic sorroundings and a pleasant atmosphere.

Restaurant Valuta at Kunstbanken (The Art Bank) has been selected to the best lunch restaurant in Hamar. Their kitchen is based on fusion cuisine; a combination of elements of various culinary traditions.
 
Helles Løiten Brænderi is open for groups up to 200 people on request. Located at Løiten Brænderi (an old aquavit distillery) in a unique setting and atmosphere.

Låven Bar at Sjusjøen is suitable for groups of 20 - 25 people. Birthday parties, bachelor parties, company trips or dinners for a group of friends can be arranged.

If you feel like a drink after dinner, there is always a pub or bar nearby in the centre of Hamar. Siste Indre, the cultural café in Hamar, has many exciting artists frequently visiting the pub. Known locally for its quiz on Tuesday nights.
