Getting to the Hamar Region from Oslo

By car:
Follow the E6 towards Trondheim/Hamar.

Distance from Oslo: 120 kilometres

Approximate driving time: 1 hour and 30 minutes

By train:
Departures every hour from Oslo to Hamar with the Norwegian State Railways (NSB).

Approximate time: 1 hour and 30 minutes

By express bus:
Daily departures with Gudbrandalsekpressen and Nordfjordekspressen, both operated by Nor-Way Bussekspress, to Nydal Statoil which lies just outside the centre of Hamar. From Nydal Statoil you can catch a local bus or a taxi into town. 

Approximate time: 2 hours

From Oslo Airport Gardermoen

By car:
Follow the E6 towards Trondheim/Hamar.

Distance: 90 kilometres. 

Approximate time: 1 hour and 15 minutes. 

By train:
Departures every hour from Oslo Airport Gardermoen to Hamar with NSB. Approximate time: 1 hour.

By express bus:
