Tour suggestions

There is a signpost with the name of the peak at the staring point of each trip. The color of the pictogram is the difficulty of the trip. The trails are marked with blue color up to the tree-line and after that, some blue marks and some cairns. On each peak there is a green box with a guest book inside. Please write your name in the book.

Venåshøvda Mountain
Approximately four kilometres after Tuv, turn to the right at signpost to Lio. After approximately 650 metres there is a parking place. Walk 50 metres and follow the small road to the right.

Duration: approximately two hours.

Storhøvda Mountain
Take the road from Ulsåk towards Lykkja. At the parking at Gravset there is a signpost with Storhøvda on the left-hand side of the road. Very easy trip – 240 metres vertical and approximately 1,5 kilometres one way. This trip can also be combined with Gjeiteberget by the use of the "Gravsetåsen rundt" path.

Duration: approximately two hours

Veslehødn Mountain
Drive in direction of Gol, turn right at the signpost for Langeset/Torsetstølane. Turn left at the next crossing and follow the toll road to Torsetstølane. Once you are above the tree line turn right and drive to the end of the road. This trip can be combined with a beneficial walk to the "Hydnefossen" waterfall (to the right of the lake), or to Storehødn. More demanding trip – approximately 250 metres vertical and approximately three kilometres one way.

Duration: approximately five hours

Ranastøngji Mountain
Take the road to Grøndalen and up the toll road to the lake Vavatn. At the end of the lake the road turns sharply to the right (At Vabuleino). In the turn there is a parking and a signpost Ranastøngji. The upper part of the trip is stony with cairns to the peak. Fantastic view over the Hemsedal and Jotunheimen mountains. 550 m deep canyon at the peak. Demanding trip – 750 m vertical and approximately six kilometres one way.

Duration: six hours
