Moss town centre has many different kinds of shops. For example, an excellent range of fashion and clothes shops, many specialist shops and a number of chain stores, and a lovely pedestrian area where a 'happening' takes place almost every Saturday during the summer.
Many of the galleries, for example Galleri Kvinnelist at Røed Gaard or Galleri Kraft og Metallum in downtown Moss, have a large selection of art and handicraft.
If you prefer shopping at shopping centres, Moss has several to offer. Amfi Moss is in Moss town centre, with 110 shops. Mosseporten Senter, along the E6 motorway, right at the entrance to Moss, has been recently refurbished and modernized. The most recent member of this group is Rygge Storsenter, with 25,000 square metres of shopping space. The shopping area City Syd is in Varnaveien, on the border between Moss and Rygge.
