Bergen's Tourist Information Centre is in The Fresco Hall situated in Vågsallmenning Square, opposite the Fish Market. The building itself is one of the city's art treasures. In these beautiful and spacious surroundings, information is available about what to do in Bergen and all of Western Norway. Besides obtaining free help and advice, you can also buy a range of products and services from.

Bureau De Change

The Tourist Information has Bergen's best opening hours for money exchange. You can also purchase services and products with foreign currency. 

Sightseeing and fjord tour tickets

Buy your tickets for sightseeing and fjord tours at the information office. In fact, many tours start right outside the ofiice's door.

The Bergen Card - practical and inexpensive

The Bergen Card provides you with free offers and/or good discounts.

Souvenirs of Bergen

See display of Bergen products for sale at the tourist information. There is also a souvenir shop with a good selection of traditional souvenirs and gifts. You can also buy stamps, postcards and telecards.

All the brochures you will need on Bergen and Western Norway are freely available, as well as exhibitions giving information on journeys further afield.

Train tickets

The tourist information sells train tickets for journeys within Norway.

  • June, July and August: 8:30 am - 10 pm
  • May and September: 9 am - 8 pm
  • Rest of the year: Monday - Saturday 9 am - 4 pm
  • Closed 24, 25, 26 and 31 December and 1 January
