Hotels

There are more than 30 hotels providing almost 7,000 beds in Bergen and its surrounding area. Many hotels are placed near Bryggen Hanseatic Wharf, the shopping centres, the Fish Market or in the centre of Bergen. Some hotels are situated near Bergen Airport Flesland.

A big part of the hotels have their own parking area to their guests. The majority of the rooms have bath, cabel-tv and telephone. Furthermore there is a tradition to serve a big breakfast-buffet in most of the hotels in Bergen.

Off-season (September - May) you may take advantage of weekend specials - special last minute summer rates at the hotels. Reservations can be done online or at the tourist information office

On a booking you pay the first night plus a booking-fee of NOK 30. Advanced reservations: NOK 50. Cancellation fee: NOK 50.

Guesthouses, bed and breakfast and self catering

Bergen can offer you a variety of guesthouses, bed and breakfast and self catering accommodation in and around the city centre. A large range is available, from charming traditional wooden houses to modern apartments.

Budget accommodation

There are several hostels and youth hostels in and near Bergen city centre.  

Camping

If you choose to stay at one of the camp sites, you are never far away from the city centre. If you purchase The Bergen Card, the bus rides are free from most of the camp sites.
