Cabins, holiday homes and fishermen's cabins

Choose from high-standard luxury cabins, idyllic holiday homes or reasonably-priced standard cabins. You can also hire a converted boathouse or fishermen's cabin almost at the jetty's edge where you fall asleep to the gentle lapping of the waves.

Batalden Havbu can offer you the atmosphere of an ancient fishing milieu of restored buildings, combined with modern comfort. Do you like good atmosphere, good food and savour coastal culture? If so, Knutholmen and the fishing village of Kalvåg are somewhere you will enjoy. Færøy Feriesenter is another idyllic holiday home where you can stay, just like Bulandsferie. Solheim Fiskeferie offers traditional fishermen's cabins ("rorbus") and houses in Vågsvåg and Oppedal at the mouth of the Nordfjord.

Camping

You will find many beautiful camp sites along the coast of Sogn og Fjordane. Put up your tent, park your motor home or caravan, and at the same time have access to the most important service facilities. Or what about trying "Grendacamping", staying in a self catering guesthouse?

At many camp sites you can hire a boat, which is often moored only a short distance from the nearest beach.

Selje Camping og Hyttesenter is a camping and cabin centre in family-friendly surroundings, 500 metres from the centre of Selje. Steinvik Camping offers you great cabins and rooms near the sea.

Lighthouses

There are lighthouses on some of the steepest rocks along the coast, with the frothing waves as their closest neighbours. Many of these lighthouses offer accommodation in the summer season. In fine weather, you can sit outside on the terrace and watch the sunset whilst enjoying the peace and tranquility. But if a squall blows up the experience is even greater. You may feel small when the waves come crashing in above the living room windows, but at the same time you are quite safe inside a lighthouse that has withstood storms, wind and weather for over one hundred years. Some of the lighthouses that offer accommodation during the summer season are Geita Fyr, Kråkenes Fyr, Ulvesund Fyr and Skongenes Fyr.
