By plane

By boat or ferry

The passenger boat route Norheimsund - Herand - Utne - Lofthus - Kinsarvik - Ulvik - Eidfjord operates from 1 May to 30 September. This route is operated by Neste Blåne.

The car ferries in Hardanger are operated by Tide.

By bus

Nor-Way Bussekspress operates several bus routes to/from Hardanger. There are for example several daily departures between Bergen and Hardanger.

Organised trips

The tour Across Norway by Neste Blaane is a beautiful journey by train, bus and boat from Oslo to Bergen passing the Hardangervidda Mountain Plateau and the Hardangerfjord region.

From Bergen there are several organised day excursions such as the popular Hardanger in a nutshell and Hardanger Fjord Adventure.
