Molde – the fishing village of Bud - the Atlantic Road

Follow rv. 64 from Molde in the direction of Eide to Moa, then turn left and follow fv. 663/rv. 664 from Elnesvågen to Bud. Continue northwards along Hustadvika to Hustad, Farstad, Vevang and the Atlantic Road. Continue to Bremsnes and take the ferry to Kristiansund. Return on the rv. 70/E39 to Batnfjord and Molde.

Distances: Molde – Bud 45 kilometres, and Bud – the Atlantic Road 25 kilometres

Estimated time: 3 hours one way

Molde – Åndalsnes - the Trollstigen Mountain Road – Valldal – Geiranger

From Molde you follow rv. 64 southwards to Sølsnes, ferry to Åfarnes, and continue to Åndalsnes. E136/rv. 63 takes you up the Trollstigen Mountain Road and further on to Valldal. Ferry from Linge to Eidsdal, and then continue along the rv. 63 to Geiranger.

Distances: Molde – Åndalsnes 55 kilometres (+ ferry Sølsnes – Åfarnes), Åndalsnes – the Trollstigen Mountain Road 5 kilometres, and the Trollstigen Mountain Road – Geiranger 80 kilometres (+ ferry Linge – Eidsdal)

Molde - the fishing village of Ona

Follow fv. 662 from Molde to Hollingsholmen, where you catch a ferry to Aukra. From Aukra you drive to Småge. Ferry from Småge to Ona. There are limited departures, especially in weekends, so check the ferry schedule before you start your trip.

Alternative without car: In the summer period, there are daily evening tours by express boat from Ålesund to Molde and then to Ona.

Distances: Molde – Hollingsholmen – Aukra – Småge 30 kilometres (ferry between Småge and Ona)

The Eikesdalen Valley, Mardalsfossen Waterfall and the Aursjøvegen Road

From Molde, follow rv. 62 to Eidsvåg, turn right to Eresfjord and rv. 660. Follow the road along Eikesdalsvatnet Lake. Parking in Mardalen, a 45-minute walk up to the Mardalsfossen Waterfall. Continue along the Aursjøvegen Road. Continue to Torbudalen, Sunndalen and back to Molde.

Distance: Molde – Eikesdal 110 kilometres, Eikesdal - Aursjøen - Sunndalsøra 70 kilometres, Sunndalsøra - Molde 70 kilometres.
