Bergen is the main gateway for both international and national arrivals to this part of Western Norway, for arrivals by plane, bus or boat.

How to get to Bergen
By plane
Bergen Airport Flesland is the closest airport to Voss, with non-stop international flights from larger scale European airports such as Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Copenhagen, London, Stockholm and Reykjavik. In 2008 Bergen also got a direct flight from several destinations in Japan.
Low-cost airlines also operate non-stop flights to Bergen from international airports such as Paris, Berlin, Prague, Warsaw, Riga and London.
There are also of course direct flights from several norwegian airports, including daily departures from Oslo Airport Gardermoen with SAS and Norwegian.
By boat/ferry
- From Denmark: Fjordline and Smyril Line (both from Hanstholm)
- From Iceland, the Faroe Islands and Shetland: Smyril Line
There are also express boat and tourist boat services within the area with for example Fjord1, Tide and Hurtigruten (The Norwegian Coastal Voyage).

How to get to Voss
Voss is centrally located in South West Norway, approximately 100 kilometres east of Bergen, between the Hardangerfjord and Sognefjord. It is easy to get to Voss by car, train and bus. The road E16 (the main route between Bergen and Oslo) and the inland road rv. 13 go through Voss.
The town is also a central stop along the Bergen Railway between Oslo and Bergen and a stop for express bus services and local services in the wider region.

The Flåm Railway (Flåmsbana) loops its way from Myrdal to Flåm 865 meters below, nestled in the innermost corner of the Aurlandfjord.
