"Innherred sodd", also known as "sodd og skjenning", is a meal fit for a feast. You find numerous varieties, and you can buy it at Inderøy Slakteri (a butcher's shop) in Inderøy.

You can enjoy a nice meal in Levanger at the restaurant in the Norlandia Backlund Hotell.

In Verdal and Steinkjer, you should eat at the bakeries/cafés Brød & Cirkus. They serve good and reasonably priced food. The menu has an international touch.

If you wish to partake in real everyday dinners such as a lot of Norwegian families prepare them, then Breidablikk in Steinkjer is the place you should visit. Reasonable prices and generous portions.

The hotels in Innherred all offer à la carte restaurants, where local ingredients and taste are important. At Stiklestad Hotell you get served dinner in historical surroundings.
