Camping

Nesna Camping is the areas largest camp site, and offers everything from large and small cabins, to tent and caravan areas. This is an excellent starting point for trips to the surrounding islands. Family friendly with a range of activities.

Korgen Camping welcomes you down by the Røssåga River in Korgen, just five minutes from the E6 highway. Beautiful surroundings with salmon fishing in the river and excellent hiking trails around the Okstindan Glacier.

Cabins

Tomma Cabins have three first class cabins for hire in beautiful surroundings in the Finvikdalen Valley on the island of Tomma. Included in the price is a sauna, a fishing boat and a freezer. Here you will find a rich birdlife and excellent hiking trails to for example Tomskjevelen (922 metres above sea level), the highest mountain at the coast. Outside the cabins you have a nice view towards the islands of Træna and Lovund.

Fishermen's cabins

Lovund Fishermen's Cabins offer accommodation in a first class environment. Here you can stay in nice rooms or large full service cabins. A boat is included in the price. The hotel is situated a 10-minute walk from the puffin bird rock.

Lighthouse holiday

At Myken Lighthouse you can stay in the lighthouse which is situated as far out at sea as possible you can come in the Arctic Circle Area. There are only thirteen inhabitants on the island, but in the summer you will meet a lot of people here. Local food and a rich cultural history will give you a memorable holiday.

Hotel

Comfort Hotel Ole Tobias is situated in Mo i Rana town centre, with influences from "the father of the Nordland Railway", Ole Tobias. Good service and nice rooms will make this a memorable visit.

Mountain cabins

For walkers/hikers, it is recommend that you start at Umbukta Mountain Cabin and follow the trails southwards to the Okstindan Glacier and Lake Røssvatnet. Nice accommodation and dining at Umbukta, Lille Målvatn and Stekvasselv mountain farms, and the possibilities to stay in a tent or self service cabins in between.

Stay at a local farm

The last few years several local farmers have started to combine farming with accommodation and the production of local food. You can visit the island of Hugla/Vikholmen with the Litlehaug Herb Farm. Really beautiful surroundings and excellent food is just a short ferry trip from Nesna. Only 30 minutes from Mo i Rana you find farms such as Straumbotn and Kvalnes. Here you can stay in old buildings, take part in the everyday life and make local bread and cheese.

Staying near Saltfjellet-Svartisen National Park

In the area close to the national park you can stay at nice places such as Polarsirkelen Coast Holiday (camp site and cabins), Skogly Camping, Krokstrand Motell and Camping, and Elvmøthei Mountain Farm.
