Local busses with the company Nettbuss take care of transportation in and around town with good connections to the trains.

Kragerø's three ferries, the "M/F Kragerø", the "B/F Jesper" and the "B/F Naus", carry cars, freight and people out to and between the largest islands. Cruises among the lovely coastal islands are also set up all year round with the "M/F Kragerø".

Taxi boats carry passengers to and from their cottages anywhere among the islands. The taxi boats are moored at their own pier just beyond the ferry quay.
