Kristiansand Airport Kjevik
This airport lies 69 kilometres from Arendal. The Airport Express Coach takes you to/from the airport and Arendal. From Arendal there are buses to Tvedestrand, Risør, Åmli and Vegårshei.
Sandefjord Airport Torp
Take a bus or a taxi from Torp Airport Sandefjord to the place Fokserød by the E18, where there is a bus connection with the buses going between Oslo and Sørlandet (Southern Norway).
Arendal is located about 150 kilometres from Sandefjord Airport Torp. Risør and Tvedestrand are located by the coast, and have bus connections from the E18 and down to the coast.

There are departures to and from Oslo/Kristiansand nine times a day with Sørlandsekspressen, which is operated by Nor-Way Bussekspress. The bus stops by the E18, and there are bus connections from this main road down to Risør, Tvedestrand and Arendal town centres.

From the west, for intance Kristiansand, drive east on E18. The distance from Kristiansand to Arendal is 69 kilometres, and the estimated driving time is around 1 hour.
There are exits from E18 to most towns and villages in the Arendal Region -Arendal, Risør and Tvedestrand. To drive to Åmli, exit at Fianesvingen (20 kilometres east of Arendal) and follow rv. 415 to Åmli. To drive to Vegårshei, exit E18 at Fianesvingen, and follow rv. 415 and then rv. 414 to Vegårshei.
