Holmenkollen is home to one of the most visited tourist attractions in Norway: The Holmenkollen Ski Jump.

However, the ski jump was demolished in October 2008. A new ski jump will be built for the 2011 FIS Nordic World Ski Championships. During the building process the temporary Holmenkollen Visitors' Centre will provide information about the famous ski arena.

Follow the construction work via web camera.

How to get to Holmenkollen

From Oslo city centre, it takes only 20 minutes to get to Holmenkollen.

By car: From Ring Road 3, exit at Smestad and follow the signposts to Holmenkollen. From the city centre, there are signposts from Majorstua to Holmenkollen.

By underground: This is the easiest way to travel. Take the westbound underground marked Frognerseteren. Get off at either Holmenkollen (the nearest stop), Voksenåsen or Frognerseteren. For more information about public transport in Oslo, please contact Trafikanten.
