The restaurant Fjellstua dating from 1903, has got the best view in Ålesund situated right on top of the town's mountain Aksla. At Fjellstua you can enjoy anything from light snacks to gourmet food and the restaurant has got large conference rooms and a dining room for rent. Reception rooms have a capacity of 340 people. After a delightful dinner you may wish to burn off a few calories and walk down the 418 steps to the town park and return to the hotel or enjoy the nightlife in town. Atlanterhavsparken is one of the largest aquariums in Northern Europe. Teaterfabrikken was originally a cod liver oil factory built in 1904. Today it is a small theatre/concert/pub with a focus on entertainment. The restaurant is in two sections, with the largest room able to serve 150 people.
Located at the end of the Hjørundfjord, surrounded by magnificent mountains and a breathtaking fjord landscape, you will find a little piece of paradise, Hotel Union Øye. In 1989 the hotel was completely restored to its original condition from 1891 and now presents all the splendour of its heyday. The Art Nouveau Centre (Jugendstilsenteret) in Ålesund documents the town's unique architectural history with the establishment of Art Nouveau style buildings following the great town fire of 1904.

Maud of Ålesund is an old fishing cutter from 1917. You can join the boat for a trip to the idyllic Kjeholmen,a 15 minute boat ride from Ålesund harbour. A table can be set for up to 40 people and you can be served food and drinks.
