Haugesund is at the centre of Norwegian history. To help experience this you can explore a reconstructed Viking village, a modern history centre, a stone church from the Medieval Age and other monuments. This is also the site of the Norwegian National Monument, erected in 1872 in commemoration of the establishment of Norway some 1,000 years earlier.
Although the area is rich in history there are also a lot of other attractions to visit and activities to pursue. The amazing scenery that surrounds the city can be used both for physical activities and visual enjoyment.
The following programme is just one of many possible experiences in Haugesund and the surrounding area. Other programmes tailored to your individual requirements are available on request.
