Conference venues in Tromsø

Conference centres equipped with the latest technology can be found in an historic wooden warehouse and inside the football stadium.  Even the city’s culture house and cinema regularly host conferences.  The biggest conference hall seats 650 guests and the city’s biggest sport hall comfortably welcomes 3,600 people. 

Sports and culture venues

• Polarhallen: The hall is 6,540 square metres and seats 3,600 people. It is three minutes from the airport and a 10-minute drive from the city centre
• Fløyahallen: Seats 2,000, or for banquets, up to 750 people
• KulturHuset (The Culture House) is the main venue for cultural events, seating 650 people.  Its organisation has hosted numerous conferences and events
• Aurora Cinema has six theatres, the biggest seating up to 418 guests
• Hålogaland Teater is a modern theatre building seating up to 300 near the city centre

Conference centres

• Arktika Conference Centre is located in the Polar Environmental Centre, a five-minute walk from the city centre, and hosts up to 200 guests  
• Linken Forskningsparken, a conference centre inside the Research Park of the University Campus has 12 conference venues seating up to 200 or 700 for banquets
• Alfheim Conference Centre, within the city’s football stadium, has a capacity of 200
• Driv is an atmospheric conference centre in a wooden warehouse downtown with room for 300
