Follow the Pilgrims' Route to Trondheim

The sainted King Olav Haraldsson was buried in Trondheim in 1030. For four centuries this city was a popular pilgrimage site.

Listings:

Following the erection of the Nidaros Cathedral over King Olav Haraldsson's grave, Trondheim became a pilgrimage site for those seeking consolation, help and healing for four centuries.

The old Pilgrims' Route between Oslo and Nidaros cathedral in Trondheim was re-opened during the summer of 1997. Since then many pilgrims have wandered to this ancient and very special site.

Your group will follow the Pilgrims' Route, as walked by Norway’s Princess and her husband before they got married in the Nidaros Cathedral a few years back. Lunch will be at a local farm.

The afternoon will be spent enjoying the good life. You can choose to visit a camp in the woods where you may do anything from cliff jumping to take a quiet paddle on Nidelven River. Alternatively why not indulge yourself at a luxurious spa centre in the city centre.

Dinner will be at the best restaurant in Trondheim, and again you will experience that Norwegian food is among the best in the world.
