Host your own Winter Olympic Games in Lillehammer

Compete in the original Olympic arenas of Lillehammer - a fun incentive that will involve the whole team and a rare opportunity to try new activities.

Team building of Olympic proportions

Divide your group into Olympic teams and test your skills in the sports arenas of Lillehammer, where the 1994 Olympic Winter Games were held.

Day 1

Arrive by train or bus from Oslo Airport Gardermoen in the afternoon, in time for the opening ceremony in the Olympic arena Lysgårdsbakkene. The ceremony includes a parade with torches from the Olympic arena to the freestyle arena for tobogganing.

Visit the Ice Cathedral in Hunderfossen Winterpark and enjoy an ice cold drink in the Ice Bar. Dinner may be offered in Trollsalen ("the troll cave"), where the walls are decorated with scenes from well-known Norwegian folktales. The restaurant, which is located deep inside the fairy tale grotto in Hunderfossen, is usually open for groups of at least 30 people.

Day 2

Olympic competitions with the following options:

  • Biathlon/cross-country skiing/snowshoes at the Olympic arena Birkebeineren Ski Stadium
  • Olympic quiz in Norwegian Olympic Museum, Håkons Hall
  • Sledge hockey in Kristins Hall
  • Alpine team competition in the Olympic arena Hafjell/Kvitfjell
  • Dog sledding

Lunch will be served after the activities in a lavvo (a Sami tent) or in a restaurant. After lunch you may arrange a business meeting at the hotel or just enjoy a couple of hours off.

Evening programme:
Take the chairlift to the top of the Lysgårdsbakkene ski jumping hill. For groups of up to 20 people, it is possible to arrange an exclusive dinner in the jumping hill tower with a magnificent view over Lillehammer.

Dinner can also be arranged at Telemarkstunet restaurant – a traditional farmstead with a capacity for 15-150 people – situated only a few minutes walk from the jumping hill tower. Guests will be served in the pleasant rooms in the old barn.

Day 3

Olympic competition at the Olympic bob and luge track, followed by a medal ceremony and lunch at the open air museum Maihaugen.

Departure by train or bus from Lillehammer to Oslo Airport Gardermoen.
