Oslo offers plenty of opportunities for exciting, inspiring incentive programmes. Here are a few examples.
Hosted on 10 December every year since 1901, the Nobel Peace Prize ceremony takes place in Oslo. For years, the Peace Prize laureates have stayed in the Nobel suite at the Grand Hotel and the gala banquet has been held in the venerable setting of the hotel’s Mirror Room.
Invite guests to an unforgettable Nobel dinner of your own. The table will be set with the hotel's special Nobel tableware, individual menu cards will be given to guests as a memento and of course your selected Nobel menu will be served. The hotel has Nobel menus dating back more than 10 years, offering a wide choice of menus to fit the occasion of your Nobel evening – or perhaps the Peace Prize laureate you wish to honour.
Take a boat trip around in the Oslofjord and visit the museums on the Bygdøy peninsula. At the Fram Museum for example you will find the Fram, the world’s most famous polar vessel. It was used by Norwegian explorers Fridtjof Nansen and Roald Amundsen on expeditions to both the North and South poles. You can arrange for your team to eat on board the Fram - they will be served the famous fish soup. The Kon Tiki Museum next door and the Viking Ships a short walk away also make for interesting discoveries.
Experience Holmenkollen and the Holmenkollen Ski Museum, the oldest of its kind in the world. A historic landmark in the Norwegian consciousness, Holmenkollen embodies more than a century of skiing competitions. Visit the tower for fantastic panoramic views of Oslo, the surrounding forest and the fjord, with your team, before challenging them to a biathlon or Nordic walking competition in Oslomarka. You can enjoy a good lunch or dinner in a traditional Sami lavvo afterwards.
These are just a few examples of incentive activities you can choose from in Oslo.
