Description

Ålesund-Sunnmøre Turistforening (ÅST) is an associated member of DNT, the Norwegian Tourist Organization, and has got mountain tourism and outdoor life at Sunnmøre as its most important field of work. At ÅST you can get advice and help on your way to outdoor life in the district, and buy maps, literature on mountains, and necessary equipment for your trip.

The associaton was founded in 1889, and today counts around 5000 members. ÅST has got a number of volunteer workers, that spend thousands of hours every year to mark paths, set up markers, maintain hostels and huts in the mountains, organize trips and more.
