Description

Experience the midnight sun with whales, seals and birds!

From the lively fishing village of Stø, we set out on an unforgettable midnight sun sea safari. The boat leaves late in the evening so that we reach the important feeding area of the sperm whales, the underwater canyon of Bleik, by midnight. On the way to the whale ground we visit Anda Nature Reserve, home to thousands of seabirds and a large harbour seal colony.

The highlight of our safaris is the sperm whale, but sometimes we are lucky and encounter minke whales, killer whales, pilot whales, or Atlantic white-sided dolphins. Bird species that you can expect to see are: white-tailed eagle, puffin, shag, common guillemot, Arctic skua, fulmar and gannet. Groups of harbour seals, both pups and adults, are often seen resting on the cliffs.

Our safari boat takes 60 passengers, which creates a cosy atmosphere on-board, where you become a part of our team. Our multilingual guides are qualified nature guides with first-hand knowledge about the marine wildlife and culture of the area.

Whale guarantee: If we, contrary to our expectations, do not see whales, passengers who are interested can join another safari, free of charge. Alternatively you can get half of your ticket refunded.
