Description

General information:
Located by RV 7, 750 metres above sea level. 3 km east of the great waterfall Vøringfossen. This is the gate to the Hardangervidda, the biggest mountain plateau in Europe. Garen Camping is situated close to the river Bjoreio, with a beautiful view of the plateau and the mountains. A perfect starting point for shorter or longer trips on the Hardangervidda. You will find an excellent walking terrain and several good places for fishing
Sale of fishing- and hunting licenses. Playground for children. Grocery at the camping.
Nearest village; Øvre Eidfjord 12 km., Eidfjord 20 km - petrol station, hotel etc.

Summer: Fishing in lakes and rivers, hunting. Very nice area for hiking. Marked trails for shorter or longer trips.

Winter: Skiing facilities (downhill and cross country). Excellent conditions from December to April.
