Anyone who has visited the Austevoll islands is captivated by the scenery and coastal environment. Bekkjarvik is a traditional, 400-year-old shoprental with a bustling marina and a beautiful view over the mountains and the sea. We host two festival days in this magnificent coastline. At 20.00: Concert in the old fishing harbor, where fishing boats and sailing ships have sought shelter for hundreds of years: Sjøforsvarets Musikkorps (Navy Band) soloist Lina Johnson.

The noon concerts in the garden circles around Edvard Grieg's famous tunes, performed by two renowned musicians Wolfgang Plagge and Follesø.
In the evening, the Sjøforsvarets Musikkorps will under the direction of chief conductor Peter Szilvay take the audience on a musical voyage. Here the audience will experience a wide spectrum program, both in style and in time. Everything from Händel's "Water Music" and Grieg's "Stormfull natt på havet" ("A Stormy night at the sea") to pop music style and touches of local practitioners.

13.00: Concert with Austevoll mannskor choir and Sjøforsvarets Musikkorps Bergen.

12.30: Boat from Bekkjarvik and Storebø. You can buy the tickets for the boat trip onboard. They are not included in the concert ticket. Return time: 15.30.

An unforgettable trip into the sea! This islet is located towards the ocean to the mouth of Korsfjorden fjord, where you can feel the powerful forces of nature. Marsteinen lighthouse was built in 1887 and has been unmanned since 2002. A concert with Austevoll mannskor choir and Sjøforsvarets Musikkorps will be held on an outdoor stage.


We will have to see how the weather conditions are on this day regarding to the access to Marstein lighthouse. An alternative location will be at the new tourist harbor in Bekkjarvik.
