Description

Norway's National Theatre is an arena for drama, classic and innovative theatre, grand celebrations and bitter infighting.

Hovedscenen, the magnificent main stage, was built in 1899, the same year as the theatre. Originally, the main stage had 1,268 seats, but after various modifications, the figure has now been reduced to 741.
