The Sognefjord is the longest and deepest Fjord in Europe. It's stretshing 204 km in inland and is 1296 m.at its deepest.
Welcome to eventful days - in Winter, in Spring - when the fruitblossom is at its most beautiful - or Summer - colourful Autumn.
Astoundingly between whatever the season.
There are express boats leaving Bergen to the Sognefjord all year - to Balestrand, Leikanger, Vik and Sogndal. Vers a visa.
Passenger boat between Flåm-Aurland-Gudvangen all year.
Carferries: 1/5-30/9 on the Nærøyfjord: Lærdal-Kaupanger-Gudvangen
Passengerboat on the Fjærlandsfjord: Balestrand-Hella-Fjærland. June 1- Aug 31.
Shorter carferries all year.

Day 4 - Flåm and the fjords

The explorers went by bus to Fjord Norway, where beautiful scenery awaited them. In the village of Flåm, they got a taste for the local beer.

What to eat in the Fjell & Fjord region

Typical food and drink in the area include apple juice and fruit from Hardanger, and trout from the Hallingdal Valley.

Walking the Aurlandsdalen Valley

The Aurlandsdalen Valley, with its wild and breathtaking nature, is known as Norway's Grand Canyon. I walked the most scenic part of the valley.
