Description

We go by bus from Kirkenes to Svanvik that is situated at the beautiful Pasvik valley approximately 40 kilometres from the town. At Svanvik we will get a guided tour in the National Centre before watching a short film about the nature of this area. We do a security check and put on life vests before boarding the riverboat. One of the places we will explore is a narrow part of the river on the Russian side. We will experience contrasts between Russia and Norway - the Russian city Nikel on the one side and the Norwegian settling on the other side of the border.
Further up the river we will visit the husky farm "BIRK" in Melkefoss, where we will be served lunch made of the local ingredients and visit the huskys before heading back to Svanvik. During the tour our guide will tell you about the unique history of this area. Min 6 persons.
