Description

Kirsten Flagstad (1895-1962) was called "the voice of the century" as well as "the world's greatest Wagnerian soprano". She had an exceptional stage career in the USA as well as in Norway. Kirsten Flagstad later became the first Director of the Norwegian Opera. The Museum encompasses family mementoes, a photo collection, original costumes from The Metropolitan Opera House i New York and a music room. Kirsten Flagstad Museum is located in "Strandstuen", the oldest building in Hamar.
