Description

There are many scenic hiking trips in Hemsedal and the surrounding area. You can hike on the mountain peaks or through snowdrifts and rocks at the tree-line or along rivers and creeks or old cultural paths to best see the landscape within the valley.

Hemsedal has a hiking program of 20 beautiful mountain peaks! These are signed, marked and graded from easy green and blue hikes to more difficult red and black hikes. Each peak also has its own pin (NOK 20/30 per pin), which can be purchased at Hemsedal Tourist office or the Welcome Centre.

You find more information about the hikes and pin system in the “Top 20” brochure that can also be downloaded at www.hemsedal.com.

The Top 20 hiking programme is the most popular summer activity in Hemsedal and every summer around 20:000 people from all over the world sign the books at the Top 20 mountain peaks. Some even hike all 20 peaks in one summer!
