Description

Open all year!
Neset Camping is a peaceful, 4-star campsite situated in beautiful surroundings on a headland overlooking Byglandsfjorden, by Highway 9, 13 km north of Evje. All roads on the campsite are paved.
The site is well suited for tents, caravans and caravanettes, and has more than 200 power supply points and facilities for cable TV hook-up. We have 29 cabins which sleep between 4 and 8 persons. Neset Camping has a grocery store, and is licensed to sell beer, class D. The cafeteria is open during the high season.

The campsite has approx. 1,600 m shoreline with sandy beaches and good opportunities for swimming. If you prefer a fast entry into the water then try our slide. Summer temperatures in the Byglandsfjord area are often among the highest in Norway, and the water usually holds between 18 to 23°C. The campsite has 3 separate, modern buildings with shower/toilet facilities, washing machines, driers and sauna. Several marked walking paths run through the area.
We organise elk safaris and guarantee that you will see one or more elks. Minimum 6 persons. You can also go searching for various minerals. Evje Mineral Path is a very good place for searches. Or you may choose to visit the local museum
to see the minerals displayed there. Rowing boats, canoes, kayaks and paddle boats are for hire on the campsite. Byglandsfjorden is a good place for canoe trips over several days.
Mountaineering and rafting courses are offered near by. The rivers and lakes in the area are excellent for angling. In addition to trout, you might catch bleke, which is a rare, non-migratory salmon only found here. You can also purchase fishing licences for lakes in the mountains and try to catch big trout there.
Welcome to a nice stay in the lower region of the Setesdal Valley!
