Flå is situated beside the main road rv. 7, making it easy to explore the area.

Vassfaret

Vassfaret is a large, forested mountain valley situated between Hallingdal and Valdres. The valley is about 30 kilometres long, and contains large lakes, roaring waterfalls, steep hillsides and mountain peaks, mountain farms, cabins, old buildings and dams.

You can follow a 16-kilometre long nature trail from Øyvatn. The trail contains 20 information points describing the nature, cultural history, forestry, hunting and fishing. 

Høgevarde

From Gulsvik you can drive right up to "Gulsviksetrane" and hike from there to Høgevarde. From Høgevarde you can see one fourth of Southern Norway.
