Restaurants and nightlife in Lillehammer

Brenneriet Churrascaria and Bryggerikjelleren are only two of many restaurants where you can enjoy a good meal in Lillehammer.

Recommended restaurants in Lillehammer

Bryggerikjelleren Restaurant
Bryggerikjelleren is the town's popular gathering spot, located in an old brewery dating back to 1855. The restaurant serves Lillehammer's best steak dishes, and offers an extensive selection of wines from its bodega.

Brenneriet Churrascaria
Brenneriet Churrascaria is a Brazilian concept and the only one of its kind in Norway. The speciality here is grilled meats - the waiting staff will carve the meat at your table. An extensive salad buffet completes the picture. After dinner, Brenneriet becomes a popular bar and nightclub.

Lundegården Bar & Brasseri
With its informal atmosphere, Lundegården Bar & Brasseri has always been a popular restaurant. Capacity for up to 110 dining guests, in addition to 30 places to sit in the bar.

Lillehammer Bryggeri
Thanks to the efforts of local enthusiasts with a passion for history, culture and quality beer, Lillehammer Brewery, first established in 1847, has been reborn. Drop in and expand your knowledge of Lillehammer and its history, while enjoying locally produced food and drinks.

Nightlife

Even though the skiing arenas are floodlit, and there are lighted trails for evening cross-country skiing, many prefer a different kind of activity in the evenings, after a long day out in the fresh air. In which case you may be tempted by Lillehammer's "alternative lighted trail" on which, given the size of the town, there are indeed many worthy stops.

Most of the watering holes can be found in, or in the near vicinity of, Storgata, which for the most part is a pedestrian precinct where you will find bars, pubs and nightclubs/discos such as the popular Brenneriet, which has three separate bars and room for approximately 1,000 people.

The bars and pubs close between 2 am and 3 am and the nightclubs at 3 am.
