Alpine skiing and snowboarding
Nesbyen Alpine Centre is located in the sunny Natten area, 13 kilometres from Nesbyen town centre. There are 5 lifts and 13 slopes, and one of Norway's longest snow parks. The centre is known for its good children's areas, well screened from the rest of the ski centre.
From the peak station you have a great view over the famous mountains Hallingskarvet, Reineskarvet and Jotunheimen. At the bottom of the ski centre you will find Skistua, a modern service centre, where you can buy food and drinks.
For the children
The children are in focus at Nesbyen Alpine Centre. There is a separate children's area with two lifts that are shielded in relation to the rest of the slopes. Own course and wave shape trail are also exciting attractions well suited to learn the smallest balance and ski technique.
At the bottom of the children's area, there is an extended area where parents can accompany their children whilst skiing.

Visit Hallingdal Museum
Hallingdal Museum from 1899 is among the oldest open air museums in Norway. There are 29 buildings and 30,000 objects representing the entire region on the museum’s premises.
The Staveloft from Ål was build around 1330 and is today one of the country’s best preserved wooden buildings from the medieval period. The history of emigration is represented by the Skratte farm house from North Dakota. A Hallingdal native who emigrated built the house in 1892. In 1998, it was brought to Nesbyen.
There is a permanent exhibition showing the nature and culture of Hallingdal. In addition there are changing summer exhibitions. On activity days, there are demonstrations of old traditional crafts.
A visit to the museum should be combined with a pleasant walk through Old Nes, the old town.
