Getting to the Drammen Region and around

The Drammen Region lies approximately 40 kilometres southwest of the capital Oslo. You can easily get to the region by car, bus, train, boat or plane.

The major railway lines all run through the Drammen Region. The Oslo Airport Gardermoen Express Train has a direct connection to Drammen. The major highways E18, rv. 23, E134, and the Oslofjord-connection all meet in Drammen. The region is located near three international airports, and ferries from Denmark, Sweden and Germany are available within a one-hour drive.

By air

The following airports are available within a one-hour drive from Drammen:

The Oslo Airport Gardermoen Express Train (Flytoget) has a direct connection to Drammen. You can also travel by bus from Oslo Airport Gardermoen to Drammen, Mjøndalen and Hokksund with TIMEkspressen.

By boat

Boats/ferries to/from Denmark, Sweden and Germany are available within a one-hour drive from Drammen: 

There are guest marinas in Holmsbu, Slemmestad, Drammen, Mjøndalen and Svelvik, and several other places in the region.

By train

The major railroads, the Bergen Railway, the Sørlandsbanen Railway and the Vestfold Railway, all stop in the Drammen Region. For timetabels and booking, please contact the Norwegian State Railways (NSB).

By bus
