Join a four-day guided adventure starting at Hanestad train station or Rena, both in the wilderness county of Hedmark.
From Hanestad and Rena, your guide drives you the 30 kilometres it takes to reach Lake Sølen. Here you will spend the first night in a mountain cabin.
The next day you paddle in a canoe to the camp site. In the untouched wilderness you spend the next few days doing a variety of activities.
It is possible to go canoeing, cast fishing nets from a boat and prepare the catch after breakfast the next morning. You can also go fishing for trout in the River Mistra, go hiking to the top of Mount Sølentoppen or just relax at the camp.
On the last day, you have lunch and a shower at Mefurua Mountain Cabin. You will also visit Norway's oldest inland fishing village, Fiskevollen, where you will learn about the local history and see how old traditions are still kept alive today.
Price: NOK 8,500 per person. Includes guiding, all meals, a sleeping bag, accommodation in a lavvo tent, one night in a mountain cabin, fishing license and local transport.
When: Fixed dates from June to September, and on request for groups.
