Taste the local food
In the centre of Flåm you will find many restaurants and cafés which offer a large selection of hot and cold dishes.
There are several producers of local and traditional food in the area. One of them is Haugen Gardsmat, which makes many delicious products. They welcome you to their farm home, and offer lunch and dinner from their own menu.
In nearby Undredal you can sample the famous local brown and white goat cheese. The goats live most of the time outside, and if they are not climbing in the steep mountains, you can see them along the roads. When you are in Undredal, the Undredal Stave Church from 1147 is worthwhile a visit. This is the smallest stave church in Norway, with seats for only forty people.
