The fifth largest waterfall in Norway with a 612-metre drop, is situated at the east-end of the beautiful Åkrafjord just outside Etne.

Haugalandet is an excellent region for hiking and you should visit some of the many view points available, such as Steinsfjellet - one of the highest peaks in Haugesund. Steinsfjellet is easily accessible by car where you can enjoy views over Haugesund, the North Sea and the surrounding mountains.
The mountains east in Haugalandet are ideal for long and short hiking trips all year. Marked trails with many overnight cabins.
Trollvasssnipen is the highest peak in Sveio. Holekleiv – a view point situated one kilometre from Nedstrand in Tysvær. The view point is easily accessible and offers views over the Boknafjord, the moors of Ryfylke and the small and beautiful village of Nedstrand.
