Getting started

You will have a list of names and instructions. You will harness your own dogs and you will lead your own dog team. You will meet a clean and tidy dog lot where it is easy to find what you need. All the dogs have their own doghouses with signs where you can read their name and harness size. Help will of course be at hand should you need it.

By doing it this way, you will learn to handle the dogs and you will discover their personalities. All trips start in the dog yard. After a while, the dogs, sleds and you are ready to go. It is not possible to hear anything else than the dogs who are screaming to go. The gate slides open. The dogs pull hard and suddenly it is quiet. Wonderfully quiet. Finally, you are mushing.

Various trips to choose from

Choose the tour that is right for you for your ultimate mushing experience. You can choose from trips that last 2,5 hours, all day or even overnight trips lasting up to four days. You can come by yourself or with a group.

About Northern Lights Husky

Northern Lights Husky provide warm winter clothes, winter shoes, mittens and hats. They will pick you up in Alta, and drive you back at the end of your trip.
