Youth and family hostels in Norway

You do not have to spend your savings sleeping. There are two big hostel chains in Norway.

There are more than one hundred youth and family hostels across Norway. These are run by two different hostel chains - Hostelling International and VIP Backpackers Resorts International.

Both chains offer good standard accommodation in pleasant surroundings. You will meet guests of all ages and nationalities.

Prices

In general, a bed in a dormitory costs from NOK 100 up to NOK 300 and a double room from NOK 300 to 600. Duvets and pillows are always provided at the hostel, but you should bring your own bed linen, or rent it at the hostel.
