Day 1: Tromsø – the gate to the Arctic
All participants travel to Tromsø from Oslo, Trondheim or Bergen in the afternoon. Dinner is offered at a fine, local restaurant before the Hurtigruten ship arrives at 11:45 pm.
Day 2: Vesterålen and Lofoten
Spend a productive day in Hurtigruten’s conference rooms. At the port of Stokmarknes in Vesterålen, there is time to visit the Hurtigruten Museum. It is recommended that any meetings are concluded by 04:00 pm, when the ship passes through the stunning Raftsundet Sound in the Lofoten Islands, so that everyone has a chance to soak up the tranquil atmosphere and admire the view of the snow-capped mountain peaks. At Raftsundet there is a possibility to go on a sea eagle safari, on which a smaller boat brings you astonishingly close to these rare birds of prey.
Early in the evening, the ship stops at the charming town of Svolvær for an hour before leaving Lofoten behind and setting sail for the Arctic Circle.
Day 3: The Arctic Circle and the Seven Sisters
The gorgeous Helgeland Coast is a great incentive for getting up early the next day. A little later, you will pass the Arctic Circle, the UNESCO-listed Vega Islands, the rock formation Hestmannen (literally “the horseman”) and the mountain range the Seven Sisters (De Syv Søstre).
During the day, there is plenty of time to continue your business meetings without having to worry about missing any of the highlights – you will be notified as the ship approaches any of the natural attractions along the way.
In the afternoon, you will enjoy a farewell dinner against the backdrop of the mythical Torghatten Mountain with the peculiar, round hole that goes right through the rock.
Day 4: Trondheim
Arrival at Trondheim early in the morning, conclusion and travel home.
This incentive suggestion is based on Hurtigruten’s spring programme (1 April – 31 May).
