King crab safari

Visit Norway's Northernmost point, North Cape, when it is covered with ice and snow. Enjoy the magnificent view and an exciting king crab safari.

A visit to the North Cape

The North Cape Hall is a service centre with a variety of different facilities. Guests can enjoy a panorama film portraying the North Cape throughout the year, see museum exhibitions, visit St. Johannes Chapel or browse the gift and souvenir shop. It also has a post office, restaurant, café and champagne bar.

King crab safari

For an unforgettable Arctic experience, take part in a king crab safari in the area around North Cape. Participants will set off on a deep-sea raft to Sarnesfjorden, stopping to check what is inside the traps way down below. The king crab can measure up to two metres between its claws and weigh as much as 10 kilograms. However you are most likely to catch smaller ones of around three to seven kilograms.

The trip continues to a lavvu camp where you will go ashore and prepare the catch for dinner. Guests will then stay overnight in the charming fishing village of Honningsvåg.
